    Bio

    Brien Posey is a graduate of Project PoSSUM Scientist-Astronaut class 1601, and has also trained extensively with the National Aerospace Training and Research Center and other commercial spaceflight organizations. Additionally, Posey was one of the first three people to ever wear a pressurized commercial spacesuit in zero gravity.

    Posey has completed programs of study in neuroscience and astrophysics, but his primary area of expertise is computer science. Posey is an internationally best-selling technology author and speaker who has published dozens of books and thousands of articles, blog posts, and whitepapers. He has also an 18-time recipient of Microsoft’s MVP award.

    Prior to his freelance career, Posey was Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a national chain of hospitals and healthcare facilities. He also served as the lead computer networking engineer for the United States Department of Defense at Fort Knox, and has worked as a network administrator for some of the largest
    insurance companies in America.
