Bio

My name is Isaiah Johnson born in Juno Beach Florida. I am a skilled runner and free diver here in Florida. I love the study of mycology and how carnivorous plants and how they behave in the environment they thrive in.  My interest in space exploration is infinite! My goals soon is to become an astronaut and medical doctor! Although this is tough I know the road and the amount of sacrifice, dedication, and  discipline it will take to get there. I was a former student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Aerospace Physiology. My plans were to branch from there and go to medical school and obtain  a biomedical engineering degree from MIT/HARVARD and have the possible chances of being a chief flight surgeon for medical school. My backup plan was to otherwise go into the military as an aerospace physiologist technician.  I love STEM as this is the most important subject in our daily lives here on earth and what lies beyond that of the atmosphere. Due to some significant consequences I had to withdraw from Embry riddle due to debit and demographic issues. With this occurring I refused to accept that financial was going to determine if I could reach my success or not! So with tons of strenuous research in what schools will be beneficial for my endeavors and pocket, I came across New college of Florida the honors college., Where I am now rocking an awesome GPA, majoring in Neuroscience & Applied mathematics, and started my own mycology club and teaching the community the importance of fungi and the behavioral knowledge it carries under stressful conditions! I have also completed an Individualized study plan incorporating the study of molecular biology and understanding concepts and methods in how using western blotting & PCR amplification methods relate to human pathology and how developing better treatments for astronauts can be very helpful for longer duration times in flight.

Professional Interests

Understanding how space exploration impacts the human body to a molecular level is first very important. Understanding how it impacts us physiologically is very intrusive. This is insinuating that understanding the risk can help us better modify our space suits, understand how to launch systems to space without creating more debris and also sending payloads to space without having to worry about tons of fuel demanding issues. All of this important as well as the astronauts health! I would say understanding  physics and tying that into to computational biology would be great for understanding how cardiovascular mathematics functions in our everyday lives including that of space exploration! I get it space exploration is a tricky thing from intercranial pressure, urinary retention, fluid retention, bone loss, cosmic radiation……… the list can go on. Understanding how this happens and what can be developed to minimize these issues for longer space explorations is what truly intrigues me.
